The fruit of evil

 Isaiah 59:7–8 (LEB)

7Their feet run to evil, and they hasten to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; devastation and destruction are in their highways.
8They do not know the way of peace, and there is no justice in their firm paths. They have made their paths crooked for themselves; everyone who walks in it knows no peace.

Israel had fallen away from the Lord and was practicing sins that were grievous to the Lord. They continued in their sinful ways and reaped the results of God's punishment. Killing innocent people, running to do evil, continuos thoughts of doing evil described their mental and spiritual condition. These same traits are common among people groups that have turned away from the truth and allow hatred of other people to rule their lives. We see this actively today in Hamas and the radical Muslims in Nigeria who are murdering Christians who have done nothing to them that would justify any of their violence against them. There is no peace in people who allow hatred to govern their lives and do not know the truth. They propagate lies and convince others to follow their evil ways. Indoctrination begins at a very young age and hatred, violence and deception become the way of life. The only solution is recognizing their error and receiving truth God has given all of mankind in Jesus the only Savior of the world. He is the Prince of Peace and he is the truth that can set people free from the sins that control their lives.
