Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, and to the younger men as brothers, to the older women as mothers, and to the younger women as sisters, in all purity.

Respect, equality,care,and purity describe how believers should treat each other regardless of their age. Believers are part of the family of God, and as a family, our conduct toward each other should set an example to the world. Families take care of each other, look out for each other, and treat each other as they want to be treated. A healthy spiritual family is an attraction to those who have come from dysfunctional homes and need to be in an environment where godly values and behaviors are practiced.
