Haiti Outreach

Currently I in Haiti with our 11 DTS students. We are working with YWAM Haiti in St. Marc doing a lot of evangelism in schools, parks and in the local prison. We have shared the gospel with over 1000 people during our first 5 days of ministry and look forward to our next 2 weeks here before we move on to our next destination in Haiti. The people have been receptive to our presentations which feature several dramas and testimonies of the students. We end each presentation with a call for salvation but we have not seen many people come forward which may be in part to a cultural attitude of not wanting to stand out in the crowd. We know that the word will not return void and we trust God to be planting it in the hearts of the people in spite of what we can or cannot see.
Next week we will be working with Pastor Beau who works in a poor area that is known for witches and voodoo. I met him last week and he shared that the witchdoctors came to his house one day with a pistol and machette and threatened to kill him if he continued to preach the gospel. He told them that they did not control his life and has continued to preach the gospel and seen many come to Christ. We look forward to partnering with him.
Please keep our team in prayer as we minister in the days to come.
